Description Red, Mint condition, no body damage, no rust, interior mint condition, mechanically sound, looks like brand new. This car is a real show-stopper. In fact, if I were a young chap looking for a girlfriend this would be the car. I have had many cars over the years, but this is the only car that anyone paid attention to. Everywhere I go with it people want to take a picture of it, look inside and under the hood, and ask if it is for sale. At 91 I am not looking for a girlfriend, but I could use the money. My 1986 XJ6 Jaguar was appraised by Vanishing Vintage of Calgary, Alberta on May 24, 2024, and was valued at $10,700. Here is an abbreviated copy of the appraisal. I can give you a copy of the complete appraisal upon request. The paint and body are in exceptional condition. The 4.2 litre overhead cam six-cylinder engine provides outstanding, as well as, time-tested reliability. The engine compartment is clean and tidy with no signs of leaks or rust to the undercarriage. The seats are in excellent condition and only show slight signs of aging. The window glass is all original and there are no stone chips, cracks or scratches. The doors open and close easily, with no sagging or binding. The weather-stripping is in excellent condition with no signs of drying, tearing or shrinkage. The power roof opens seamlessly, and the sunroof material is free of water damage or sagging. Michelin 205/70R15 tires are mounted on all four corners, with a full-sized spare hidden away in a well located under a sub-floor cover in the trunk where a gas tank would be. The car sports twin fuel tanks located in the rear fenders with stainless steel locking gas caps. The car has a sturdy all-weather vehicle cover neatly packaged in the truck. In case of an emergency, the car also has a jack stored in the trunk, as well. I am giving the car a three-point overall rating of VERY GOOD. as the vehicle has been meticulously maintained. g for a girlfriend, but could use the money. |
